Ted Boehm is a partner of Hoover Hull Turner LLP. He served as Associate Justice of the Indiana Supreme Court from 1996 to 2010, authoring the most majority opinions for the Court in that span. His opinions covered a wide range of subjects, including corporate governance, fiduciary obligations, insurance coverage, and constitutional issues.

Before joining the Indiana Supreme Court, Ted served in high-profile roles in both private practice and as corporate counsel. He worked for 25 years with the law firm Baker & Daniels in Indianapolis, including several as managing partner. There, he served as lead counsel in major litigation involving securities, antitrust, corporate control, insurance coverage, and general business matters. In 1988, Ted joined General Electric as general counsel for GE Appliances in Louisville. He later served as vice president and general counsel for GE Aircraft Engines in Cincinnati. From 1991 to 1995, Ted served as deputy general counsel for Eli Lilly and Company in Indianapolis.

After leaving the Indiana Supreme Court in 2010, Ted arbitrated and mediated complex business cases. Ted continues his alternative dispute resolution practice with Hoover Hull Turner LLP, and advises clients on a wide range of legal issues and appellate practice.

Professional Associations & Civic Involvement

Ted has been instrumental in shaping Indianapolis as we know it today. In several roles, including first President and CEO of Indiana Sports Corporation and Chairman and CEO of the 1987 Pan Am Games Organizing Committee, Ted helped Indianapolis earn international recognition for its support of amateur sports. Ted was also a member of the Nominating and Governance Committee of the United States Olympic Committee from 2003-10 and served as Committee Chair from 2003-07.

Ted also is a strong supporter of arts and culture in central Indiana, having served as president of the Penrod Society and Chair of the Indianapolis Cultural Development Commission. He is currently on the Boards of Metropolitan Indianapolis Public Broadcasting, Inc., Indiana Humanities Council, and Economic Club of Indiana.
