Martin Moderates Panel on Federal Settlement Conference Best Practices

The Indianapolis Bar Association kicked off the Labor and Employment Section’s 2017 Judicial Speaker Series with a panel of distinguished speakers including Magistrate Judge Mark Dinsmore, of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana, Alan McLaughlin of Littler Mendelson P.C., and Quincy Sauer of Macey and Swanson, discussing best practices for federal settlement conferences. Hoover Hull Turner’s Laurie Martin moderated the panel. Panelists offered perspectives from both sides of the table, with judicial views offered by Magistrate Judge Dinsmore, on effective pre-conference preparation, making the most of joint and caucus sessions, and post-conference follow-up.
